Like Father, Like Daughter.

Supremium-Molly-Malones-06.11.2010-36.jpgSome kids study books. Some kids work in the mall. And some kids…well, some kids play rock n roll. I think it’s safe to say that Veronica Witkin was where most of them would have rather been last night: under hot lights, in front of a roaring crowd, with a Fender Telecaster slung over her shoulder.

In case you hadn’t noticed, Vee gets her rock n roll DNA the same place she gets her hair: Grammy-nominated producer, and world-class musician, Bruce Witkin. Father and daughter took to the stage as part of a reunion gig for power-pop outfit Supremium, and all seemed right in the world again as guitarist Coz Canler, keyboardist Doug Nahory, and drummer Rob Klonel rocked Molly Malones the way it was meant to be: LOUD.

I think Bruce summed it up best, when, calling Vee to the stage, he announced, “This is all that matters in my life.”

I tend to agree. I think Bruce could care less about grammys and accolades; his daughter knows how to rock.
